Dixie "Alan" Land

Dixie "Alan" Land, age 64, a native of Pensacola, Florida and a resident of Weatherford, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, July 30, 2001.

Mr. Land was the fourth child born to the late Henry Proctor Land and Dixie Land on September 25, 1936. He attended school within the public school system of Escambia County, graduating from J. M. Tate High School.

Mr. Land is survived by his wife, Doris Land of Weatherford, Oklahoma; his mother, Dixie Land of Gonzalez, Florida; two daughters, Gwenith Shiver and Carol Hawthorne; one son, Dixon Alan Land; one step daughter Darla Cheek; one step son, Phillip Sawatzky, and eleven grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers, Warren Land,Culver Land, Henry Land and David Land, as well and two sisters, Gwenith Terry and Elaine Barrow.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2001 at Old Springhill Methodist Cemetery in Chumuckla, Florida. Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 Hwy 29, is in charge of arrangements.
