James K. Ashford Dies in Washington Mr. James Key Ashford, 18, who was reared here, died January 3, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ralph Burton, in Washington, D. C. The remains were brought here for interment, the funeral being held January 4th, at 3 p.m., at the chapel of Stow, Fell & Co., conducted by Dr. J. H. LaPrade, and interment being in Alta Vista. Mr. Ashford was a son of the late James H. Ashford of this city, and had many friends here who sincerely regretted to learn of his death. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. J. H. Ashford, of Atlanta, one brother, Edgar Ashford, of Phoenix, Ariz., and one sister, Mrs. Burton. Transcribed from a clipping pasted in a Merck/Wing scrapbook; no dates visible.
