of William Thomas Wing to Ruby Evelyn Merck recorded as happening on May
11, 1911.
Merck-Wing
The
marriage of Miss Ruby Merck of Gainesville, and Mr. Will Wing of Apalachicola,
Fla, Occurred at the home of Mr. H. N. Merck on Boulevard last Thursday
afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. J. C. Boone officiating. The wedding came
as a distinct surprise to their friends, but few of whom were let into
the secret. Only the immediate relatives and a few friends were present
to witness the ceremony.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Chas. S. Merck and is a young
woman of many personal charms. She has been popular with the younger social
set, among whom she has hosts of friends. When on a visit to her aunt,
Mrs. H. A. Daniels, at Apalachicola, Fla., she met Mr. Wing, where their
courtship started. The groom is cashier of the State Bank of Apalachicola,
and stands well in business and social circles in his home city.
Immediately after the wedding Mr. And Mrs. Wing left for Newnan to visit
the bride's sister, Mrs. E. R. Dent, after which they go to Apalachicola
to make their future home.
