Miss Barbara Ann Weis is Bride of Henry C. Land in Nicaragua

Marriage of Miss Barbara Ann Weis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mahlon Weis of Managua, Nicaragua, formerly of Pensacola, to Henry Culver Land of Managua, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Proctor Land of Cantonment, took place at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday in the home of the bride. The Rev. Moultrie McIntosh, archdeacon of the Episcopal Church of Nicaragua, officiated.

Decorations for the home arrangements of Easter lilies, calla lillies, gardenias and orchids. Musical selections included "Because" and "One Alone."

Henry Mahlon Weis gave his daughter in marriage. Her gown was fashioned along princess lines of Chantilly lace, and she wore a finger-length veil. Her flowers were white carnations centered with two white orchids.

Miss Dorothy Weis was maid of honor, and Miss Alice Farr was bridesmaid. Miss Evelyn Weis served as junior maid. Rodney Jackman was best man for the bridegroom, and Jergen Sengelmann was an usher.

The attendants wore gowns of net. The honor attendant was in yellow, and Miss Farr was in green. The junior maid wore a dainty white frock with a pale green sash and matching shoes. They carried old fashioned nosegays of blush pink roses.

Mrs. Weis was smartly attired in aqua silk shantung with lavender and white orchids.

A wedding breakfast followed after which the newlyweds left on a trip to South Florida. For travelling the bride wore a golden brown silk suit, with brown accessories. They plan to reside in Managua.

About 150 guests attended including President and Mrs. Anastasio Somoza of Nicaragua.
