Mr. C.A. Weis
Decatur Alabama.

My Dear Brother -

Your message announcing the arrival of another son at your house was received with pleasure. When I phoned Bertha she exclaimed, "My Goodness another Boy." Well, Bert we all want to extend to you and Agnes our heartiest congratulations and hope that everything will pass off smoothly and that you can bring him up to be a fine bright and healthy young man. You still hold the championship in (the) Weis family in your efforts to perpetuate the name while I have to content myself with the booby prize but then my Girl is a dandy never the less. She will be with us again next Monday evening to stay until school opens on the 9th of September. We all hope that Agnes will recover rapidly and soon be right well and strong again. The weather has been terrible hot and dry for the passed month - we are needing rain very badly if we get it soon will have a nise corn crop but if not I have grave doubts of any at all. The wheat crop around here was a failure this year and in fact it was so generally which make(s) it hard and expensive to get straw. We are all well hear and all send our love to you all.

Your brother,

F.O. Weis
